Project Profiles

A relatively new term, geomatics was originally coined in Canada about 40 years ago to better define the broad range of activities conducted by today’s Land Information professionals. Adopted officially by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 1996, the term refers to the process of gathering spatially referenced data, its verification, indexing, manipulation, modeling, storage and portrayal in the form of digital or hardcopy maps, drawings or plans. These in turn, are used by our clients either as stand-alone results or as the framework upon which to construct their own customized products or applications.

Trow Geomatics has been providing surveying services to all levels of government, First Nation, industrial, mining and other private sector clients throughout northwestern Ontario since 1906. We are proud of the projects we have successfully completed, providing surveying services such as quantity surveys, horizontal and vertical control surveys and legal surveys. Outlined below is a sampling of recent projects that demonstrate the diverse nature of our Company’s activities in geomatics.
